Years of experience and travels to the world's finest fishing spots have afforded me the opportunity to build a vast network. For several years now, I have been organizing and guiding three to four exclusive fishing trips annually.

Flyfish Adventures is not a travel agency or a company. The sole aim is to arrange and embark on shared journeys as a group of fly-fishing enthusiasts. My motto: Always book the prime week during the optimal travel time and exclusively journey to the finest destinations.

This has already resulted in many great friendships.

Through images, films, and stories, I want to share my experiences of fly fishing around the world on this website: with my family, friends and fellow fly anglers. That's my goal, and additionally, it allows me to relive and savor the adventures once more myself.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

One of my most cherished childhood memories: My father takes me as a little eight-year-old to fish in the icy, crystal-clear mountain streams, of which there are so many in our region. His enthusiasm is infectious; there's nothing more beautiful than that shared time in nature and the process of learning the art of fishing.

What you learn as a child resides in your soul, and so it's no wonder that fishing has interested me all these years, sometimes more, sometimes less. It never let me go. I enjoy the tranquility and the outdoors; water is my element. Oceans, lakes, or rivers – they all exert an irresistible pull on me.

MY PATH AS A FISHERMAN

For a long time, I fished for various freshwater and predatory fish. I specialized in boilie fishing and carp angling, enjoying great success and experiences for over 15 years. Most of the time, I was accompanied by my friend Thomas Angerer and frequently joined by the fishing community in Vienna, centered around our sadly departed friend Kurt Grabmayer. For many years, we were also drawn to catfish fishing in Italy along the Po River. I have always pursued fishing in a diverse manner.

WHERE I STAND TODAY

At some point - much too late, as it seems to me today - I got hooked on fly fishing. As a passionate and ambitious individual, I absorbed all imaginable information about fly fishing in a short period and learned and practiced as much as possible. Now, I am a fly angler with heart and soul. Wherever there are fish to be caught with a fly, that's where I do it. Today, I don't understand why this didn't happen earlier. But sometimes, the right time has to come first.

MY FAMILY

My family accepts my great passion, and I am very grateful for that. I am happily married and have an adult son and a 17-year-old daughter. Alongside my wife Monika, I manage four successful businesses. I highly value being fortunate enough to travel to the most captivating fishing spots in the world.
