Jardine Flyfish Adventures 2021

TIME
IS
NOW

A trip to Cuba – in April 2021, is it a gamble? Current conditions make international travel difficult and uncertain. After several cancellations, five registered individuals were missing. However, some brave adventurers dared to travel to Cuba.

Our reward: The fishing was better than ever. In Caveza del Este, we landed a total of 154 tarpons, five of them weighing over 100 pounds. I was lucky to land the two heaviest ones at 110 and 130 pounds. Additionally, Eugen, Andreas Lütscher, and I each achieved a Grand Slam.

MARINE PARK

The Jardines de la Reina, named Queen's Gardens by Christopher Columbus, is an untouched archipelago that stretches over more than 100 miles along the southeastern coast of Cuba. This massive marine park, larger than the Florida Keys, is perfect for fly fishermen who want to live and experience fishing from morning to evening aboard a yacht. The yacht anchors right in the fishing area, and within minutes, you're at the best fishing spots amidst pristine nature.
